Refurbishment of UK Headquarters Rone Design were appointed as Architectural Consultants and Project Managers to transform a 1930’s 4 storey dilapidated listed building of approximately 8,000 square metres into the UK Headquarters for US Greeting Card Giants, Hallmark Cards Plc. Due to planning and conservation constraints, the proposed internal and external refurbishment presented us with several design, space planning, logistical and technical issues. The project included creating full office accommodation with particular emphasis on restoring and integrating the listed architectural features such as inlaid wall panelling, coffered ceiling, art décor fireplaces and clocks into state of the art office facilities suitable for 21st century requirements. In particular a modern creative industrial ceiling with floating meandering lighting palette was introduced to the third floor art studio. The Reception Area retained the original wall panelling with new white ceramic floor tiles, creative lighting, glass and good use of colour to ensure a modern look with a hint of English Charm. A covered walkway sympathetic in design to the existing buildings was formed to link the office accommodation with newly created restaurant facilities incorporating large glass doors opening out onto external seating area overlooking woodland. This project has been a success for all concerned winning a Bradford District Design Award.

New Build Head Offices at Hyde, Greater Manchester Designed with hi tech appearance, this building is a steel frame with pre cast concrete floors, brickwork and artificial stone. Raised computer floor and suspended ceilings are installed throughout together with CCTV and other security provisions. Full air conditioning and bistro style café including external roof top decked area enhance these impressive offices. This development required extensive negotiations with the planning department regarding the overall redevelopment of the site.

Refurbishment of Existing Offices Existing office facilities have been completely updated and a new restaurant facility created at Dawson Lane, Bradford for Hallmark.

New Corporate Offices This impressive new build corporate office facility has been constructed for the leading UK builders merchants Jewson plc in Coventry. This project was completed on time and within budget. The careful integration of brick, stone, glass and in particular aero dynamically shaped eaves and barge fascia details together with  curved silver anodised glass feature panels and entrance has resulted in an ultra modern architectural design. Careful consideration has been given to the space planning with impressive lighting, raised access flooring thoughout, suspended ceilings, creative flooring and a striking hi tech staircase design. Externally the symmetrical combination of granite setts, conservation style pavings and kerbs, feature inset lighting, revolving door and soft landscaping creates a dramatic entrance.

New Speculative Offices Rone Design were employed as Architectural Consultants and Project Managers to construct this new build speculative office accommodation here in Shipley with a particularly high specification. This development includes external car parking and landscaping. The reception area uses complimentary materials such as wood, steel, and travertine together with an unusual staircase design to create an impressive entrance foyer.

New Corporate Offices Barrett Steel Buildings Ltd commissioned Rone Design to design their new flagship offices and computer controlled production facility in Bradford. The project was completed on time and within budget. The offices were designed with a hi tech appearance incorporating grey tinted feature glazed panels and contrasting silver composite cladded panels. Raised computer floors and suspended ceilings have been provided throughout together with a high standard of fixtures and fittings.
